the commitment

high quality & mostly organic

I always use the highest quality ingredients & buy organic whenever possible, from the veggies to pasture-raised grass-fed meats and wild-caught seafood with no added hormones to locally sourced honey. Every ingredient is consciously chosen to ensure you can trust every bite of food going into your body is clean & intentional.

soy, dairy & gluten-free

all meals and ingredients used will be free of soy *(besides tofu)*, dairy & gluten-free as these foods are known to be disruptive to our bodily functions, and if we’re being honest, make you feel like complete shit! as someone with chronic illness living in a world plagued by even more chronic illness, I reduce the use of foods that commonly cause sensitivities, allergies, or inflammation.

anti-inflammatory ingredients

not only will everything be free of gluten, dairy, and soy *(besides tofu)*, but when I cook I only use oils that are anti-inflammatory like olive, avocado, and coconut oil. I also often use spices + herbs known to reduce inflammation like turmeric, garlic, and rosemary. each meal is packed with flavor, intention, and lots of love.

no waste

I not only care about you and how you feel, but I care about the earth and how it feels, too! unlike most other meal delivery services, I use glassware to reduce the amount of plastic going into the trash daily & weekly! you’ll pay a $100-150 glassware deposit on your first order to cover your glassware & insulated bags. you can get your deposit back OR keep the glassware should you ever cancel.

the motivation + mission

enjoy the luxury of organic meal delivery knowing the service you’re supporting is saving a portion of all its profits to fund its non-profit, Helping HandUp.

you see, my intentions for Grounded by Food is to eventually expand into a kitchen full time and transition to a non-profit ‘version’ where I am cooking with 100% donated food and delivering to families who don’t have the luxury of enjoying healthy cooked food. I believe everyone deserves access to healthy home-cooked meals no matter their identity, skill level, income level, employment status, medical status, etc.

through Helping HandUp I also plan to host a variety of workshops to teach parents and families how to: cook on their own, buy healthy food on a budget, work on generational trauma, recondition patterns and belief systems, manage behavioral & emotional difficulties, and so much more.

I’m on a mission, through Grounded by Food & Helping HandUp, to put an END to the suffering: the mental suffering, the physical suffering, the emotional suffering, the spiritual suffering.
